How it started

I taught 2nd grade for years, and every Sunday I sat at my kitchen table building the next week of math. The textbook never matched my class, so I wrote my own lessons, one at a time.
What a lesson is
After a few years I had a routine that worked: a bell ringer, guided notes, slides, a game, a worksheet and an exit slip, all on one page plan. Every Pine Hollow lesson still follows it.
Where things are now
Other teachers kept asking for copies, so I put the lessons in one place. There are 5 lessons in 2 units today, and I add new ones as I finish them.
